I am thinking of taking AP Biology in the fall and I looking for a good text since the test is new. Also does anyone have any suggestions on completing the lab component since I am homeschooled.

Where will you be taking AP Biology? Is it through a co-op or something that might offer labs? Or are you making the course yourself?

Campbell’s biology is a strong text for AP. You could do virtual labs online or buy some supplies from companies like Tobin’s, Carolina Biological, etc.

I second Campbell’s biology. Many homeschoolers around here take it for AP

I used quite a few biology texts. I liked Sylvia Mader Biology the best. It came with virtual biology labs. However, if you want a “real” lab, I’d suggest you look at getting your supplies off of Amazon. Best of luck!

A great place for lab equiment is Home Science Tools:
[Home Science Tools: Microscopes, Chemistry Equipment, Biology Supplies…](<a href=“Science Supplies for Homeschool & Classroom | Home Science Tools”>http://www.hometrainingtools.com/)

I use them for my labs
