***AP Biology Thread 2015-2016***

@MrMillennial I haven’t received my score yet but I felt the exact same way! I’m not looking forward to when scores come out even though mine is irrelevant.

I got a 4… I really wanted to get a 5 since I want to major in biomed :frowning: I couldn’t finish 5 of the 6 grid in question because I ran out of time… I didn’t take SAT bio yet but I heard its pretty challenging like its more detailed than AP bio test what did you guys think?

^^^^ exactly the same here :frowning: (minus the SAT Bio part - I took it in June and it’s not that bad at all…most of the AP Bio topics are less detailed, with the exception of taxonomy/animal structures/some repro/memorizing classes of animals and anatomy)

YES!!! I got a 5. Really wasn’t expecting this- didn’t answer some questions in the multiple choice and bs’d 3 of the grid-ins.

actually finished the whole test and FRQs with plenty of time, but got a 4. ap bio really just has a harsh cutoff (“curve”) and anyone who didn’t get a 5 should still be happy (even us pre-meds who feel like we should be excelling)

I got a 5!! I was only expecting a 3 because I got some of the grid-ins wrong and I totally messed up on the essay about mRNA processing by mixing up prokaryotes and eukaryotes :)) I got a friend from another state to check the scores for me because I’m not supposed to get them until Saturday and the proxy website looked really suspicious…

AP bio was the exam I was the most confident about (like I thought I aced FRQ and MC wasn’t hard) and I got a 4

I got a 5!! I knew I did well on most of the FRQs, but the 6.3% percent scared me. I’m so relieved

Did any of you do AP bio without hs/honors bio first?

In my school they didn’t offer honors first, the only other Bio is regular Biology. However, my AP Bio teacher was amazing.

Got a 4. Only a freshman and AP was the first bio course I’ve taken. I thought I did worse, so I’m happy to take my 4

@michaeld22 that’s awesome! AP was the first bio course I took as well, but I did it as a sophomore. I was just wondering because the schools in my district don’t let students take AP bio unless they’ve taken earth science, regular bio, chem, AND physics…

wow, those are insane requirements @NYhomeschooler

I got a 4, which I am very happy about! I left the exam feeling awful about it, especially the grid-ins. I don’t even think I got to all of the multiple choice questions and ended up guessing on some. I felt like all of my studying was completely worthless (which it probably wasn’t, but it definitely felt like it was at the time!) as the exam reminded me a lot of the ACT science test (which is a test that doesn’t require “studying” for, just practice). So overall I am definitely satisfied with a 4.

@dota2fan ikr? That’s just one of the many strange requirements in this district…glad I didn’t have to fulfill them

@NYhomeschooler Yeah actually this was my first bio class I ever took and I took as a junior, so excited I got a 5 but my teacher was good so that helped

Congrats guys! Still waiting on my results because Connecticut haha!

@Sandy12345 wow you’re still waiting? I was supposed to get the results tomorrow but got tired of waiting and found out on Tuesday.

Does anyone know why there were 2 different formats with different FRQs on the AP Biology test?

got a 4 after not filling any of the math questions and bsing a solid half of the frq. so happy right now
