Hi!, I’m taking ap biology as a junior and have started on the summer work. The summer work is a painnnn. I’ve been reading the textbook and it’s so much information. I don’t know the proper way on how to study a lot of information. Any tips would be helpful. I’ve also been reading other threads and people said to buy the cliffs book to read while taking the class?
Hey. I am in the same thing. I am taking AP Biology next year as a junior and I have so much summer work. My teacher wants us to read and memorize the first five chapters from the Campbell textbook. I took notes but it was too long.
I would say buy Barrons (and Cliff Notes if you want). I bought Barrons and basically sums up each chapter for me.It might be a little too info but it is certainlynot as long as the textbook.
I used Barrons for reviewing and quickly looked over my textbook chapters during the summer. When school starts, I ll actually read the textbook and some Princeton Review and crash courses.
Good luck!
To memorize and study definitely buy the AP Biology Flashcards. Barrons is my key in this course.
Thanks so much! I also have to read 5 chapters in the Campbell textbook of Ecology. You just read the chapters, take notes, then read over the Barron’s book on those chapters?
Yup. My teacher has tests on the first and I think that it should be enough for the summer.
If you have the Campbell textbook, i recommend getting the AP study guide with it. Amazing for the AP exam and is great for the textbook. https://www.amazon.com/Preparing-Biology-AP-Exam-School/dp/0133458148/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1466391195&sr=8-7&keywords=ap+biology&linkCode=sl1&tag=bestapbooks01-20&linkId=e3efb183b703206cc5df5e3e94649b79
