I'm interested in studying AP Biology on my own these few months leading up to the AP test in May. I am currently not taking the class, so I was wondering what review book I should pick up that would give me the best chances of scoring at least a 4.

ive heard extraordinary things about cliffs

cliff's
........................................................

thanks! any other suggestions?

I always thought cliff's was more for those already taking it...a review, not something that should be used for someone who's not in the class...it seems like a lot of information to learn in about 3.5 months

i agree celeb

so what would you recommend?

Another book is Campbell's study guide :)
The actual campbell's book is huge but has lots of info, mine came w/ a cd w/ activities

Don't use Kaplan. Get a book that comes with a cd because the cd will be a huge help.

the new barron's (white cover) is really good. the old one (gray cover) works too, but it tends to teach as much information in the quizzes at the end of each chapter as it does in the actual chapter, which kind of freaks you out because you feel like there's all this stuff you don't know. but it really works well if you just read the whole book and do all the multiple choice sections!

the AP bio curve for a 5 is around a 75% or so, anyway, so don't worry too much. good luck! =)

the campbell's study guide is really good, and cliffs notes are just amazing...
