I'm in the habit of buying my AP books before the course starts. Just to avoid the september rush and such.

Which books would you reccomend for the following courses?

AP Psychology
AP English Lit
AP Government and Politics

Also any comments on these courses are welcome, are they difficult tests?

Most of the people in my AP Psych class used the Barron's book. I self-studied Government with the Princeton Review book. AP Psychology is pretty much a joke course and a joke test, almost everyone I know has gotten a five on it. I thought the Govt. exam was decently easy, but I've heard it has a fairly difficult curve. Good luck with your AP's next year!

US Gov is cake if you thoroughly go through the PR book. I self-studied it and was getting around 58/60 on old MC sections. But that's also due to my love of politics.

I think you can never go wrong with Barron's. It may go overboard sometimes, but if you learn harder material than the actual AP test, it will make the test all the easier.
