I heard from my math teacher that even if a student takes the AP Calc test, colleges still require the student to take their own calculus class. Is this true for most colleges? I was wondering because I'm not sure if I'm going to take the AP Calc test if I still wind up take calculus again in college. Thanks in advance!

I don't think this is true. I was looking at the UC's ap credit and they give you credits for getting a 3, 4, or 5. It depends on your major if you have to take more calculus classes. For instance, I think that if your major was math you would have to repeat calculus. For the colleges you are looking into, go to their websites and find out their ap credit policies.
