Did anyone else feel like the MC was easier than expected but the FRQ was pretty hard? I honestly thought it was going to be the other way.
Agree completely. The no-calculator MC was worse than calculator MC, too.
So I took AP Calculus AB and i was pretty confident before the exam. I had good results in the mock exams as well. I found multiple choice section surprisingly easy, because i knew that mostly mc section is challenging with calculus. My strong side is free response but in this test i found it very difficult to solve. It even felt like they had a different style of questions compared to past 5-6 years.
What do you think? Was it hard? I am a senior so i have to pass this. Please let me know. thanks
YES. i found mc easy but free response difficult!
@cilly100 @fishsticks4 I was the same way! I was really worried about the multiple choice because I hadn’t been doing well on them, so I thought that it was going to be the FRQs that would be my strong point. But then when I took the test, the calculator MC felt easy, and the no-calc somewhat though it was still more challenging than the calculator portion. Then when the FRQ came, they really didn’t feel like the practice ones we did in class (we went through almost all the examples from years past). Mmm I really didn’t like the calculator active FRQs – they felt off in some way. Timing was tight too. Overall, I wonder if everyone was having trouble with the questions?
Oh gosh. Our whole class (less than 10 students) came out of the test completely devastated about the FRQs. The multiple was very easy for us though. Luckily, we all passed!
