AP Calc AB vs. AP Stat?

Hello,

I am trying to pick courses for senior year and am stuck between choosing AP Calculus AB or AP Statistics. In college I'll likely pursue a double major in theatre and arts administration/or/education. The only thing about Calc AB is there's a possibility of getting a teacher that is not very good at teaching the class (as told to me by past students). This year I am in Precalculus regular and it is super easy...A+ in the class. Thoughts?

Is the pre-calc class easy because of your math skills or because the teacher is easy? If it is more your skills, I would take calc instead of stat. I am taking calc BC and had stat earlier. I don’t see much use for stat, other than an AP class but some might. Since you want to be a theatre major, I would think that you would not have much use for either in your college major, unless your college requires all students to take a calc class. Some do. If you are applying to a competitive school, calc looks better; but only if you make a decent grade.

I’m taking both right now and while stats is far more applicable in normal life, it is boring and utterly pointless, especially if you’re going into theatre/arts-related majors.
Calc, on the other hand, fascinates me. And this from a girl who wants to be a writer. :p
