AP Calc AB with AP Physics????

Next year I am 100% certain that I am going to take AP Calc AB for my math class. I want to be an engineering major and do understand that physics is very important for this. I went through honors this year and got a B+ overall, but my grades have improved throughout the year as I end the last marking period with an A. My teacher recently told me that I would be ready for AP Physics and recommended that I do so. I haven't signed up for it yet, so I was only uncertain about taking both AP Calc AB with AP Physics together? With the AP Exam, I might be ok since that is at the end of the year, but my major concern is with academics because will I need concepts from calculus that I haven't or will not learn in AB?

No, the calculus in ap physics is mostly very simple. Anything special like line integrals will be covered in your physics class.

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure the calc wasn’t a pre-req or something we’d be expected to know beforehand

If you’re talking about Ap physics B then you do not need to know calculus. But AP physics C is calculus based so if calculus is not a prereq at your school then it should be a co-req. good luck

If you want to do engineering, you need Physics C Mech+E&M.
The calculus is very simple and I’m doing fine with my precalculus knowledge (but that differential equation question killed me in the Physics C Mech test this year).

Ok, thanks. Sorry that I forgot to mention that it’s Physics C.
