AP Calc AB

do you think it's possible to learn the entire course before august 20th? i'm trying to skip it to get into calc bc.

Don't bother. Approximately 2/3 of Calc BC is AB material, it just goes at a faster pace.

So if you enjoy math, you have nothing to worry about, because you won't miss anything.

If you're really worried, go through a book like Barron's and see the general pattern of problems, etc. It would be very helpful to know derivatives at least before you take BC.

i have to take a test to skip ap calc ab, so do you think it'll be possible to learn all of the ab material in about 2 months?

bump....................

I think it's possible...but I don't think you should use Barron's as your study guide. Go for the real textbook or real notes from the actual course, and base your schedule on the guidelines given by collegeboard (topics required for the exam itself). Barron's helps you only if you have prior knowledge of calculus or if you've already learned it.

Yeah, that would probably be a better bet.

The thing about Calc AB is that there are only 10-12 real topics to learn, but they all go pretty deep. Based on the difficulty of the test, it could be possible to learn AB in 2 months, but probably not very well.

I think it would be easier to take AB and self study BC
