Good or bad to take both in the same year?

Good to take both in the same year. Stats won’t be as hard as Calc, but there’s a possibility that the ap stats teacher at your school will make it as hard.

I’m taking both right now. Calc makes Stat seem like a breeze, so it’s a good thing.

I’m taking both right now too. It’s not bad

it’s a good idea. lots of kids take the "3 AP maths (ap calc, ap compsci, ap stats) and do just fine. deff. loooks good for colleges:)

Next year I’m taking AP Calculus AB or BC (still haven’t made up my mind) and AP Stats. AP Stats at my school is considered a joke, the students who take are the students who don’t want to bother taking Calculus senior.

Good luck next year. ;)

That’s like my school, except that they think Stat will be a joke when they sign up for it, but right now, most of them have C’s

Better to take precalculus and AP Stats at the same time if your school gives you the option. You can certainly have the prerequisites for AP Stats before you’ve taken precalculus, and that frees up an option for later to take a different AP offering.

i’m taking both this year and its not as bad as people say. stat is really math and not that hard and it helps balance out the difficulty of calc

Taking both. Stats is easier than calc.

Yeah statistics is barely a math class. The most complicated calculations we’ve done are probably with logs which is pretty easy. Plus you can do everything with your calculator
