AP Calc BC or AB?

I've taken Honors Algebra, Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry, and am in Honors Pre-Calc right now. I got A's in all the classes (except one semester in Honors Algebra II = B+) but don't know which to take next year (junior), Calc BC or AB?

I tested into BC for the placement test and I'm also taking AP French, AP Lit, AP Psych, and AP Bio. Will BC be too much work for these other classes? I also have a lot going on on weekends.

Honestly, even though I've gotten good grades in math, if you were to ask me, I wouldn't say I'm very good at math. I can get A's/A-'s on like 3 tests in school but get a D or something on the next....so is taking BC a good idea? I get most concepts but occasionally, some things go way over my head....

Ask people in it at your school. It probably makes a huge difference depending on where you go. If the workload isn't too much more for BC, and you think you can handle it, which your test results say you can, then I'd say take it.

But if you don't like math in the first place and would rather be in an easier course, just go for AB.

I had the same problem monkeycloud. I ended up taking AB, because I had 4 other APs to worry about. It depends on which school you go to, but BC is generally a lot of work. And your courseload is pretty tough, I'd consider AB.

BC usually isn't tougher, it just requires understanding topics at a faster rate. If that's something that might prove to be a problem with other AP classes, I'd take AB.
