My school unfortunately offers only one class of ap calc bc and only one of ap lit and they are both during the same period. Should I take ap calc ab and ap lit, or honors english and calc bc? Also, I can only choose 2 out of 3- AP Spanish, AP Econ, and AP Euro. Which is best to drop?

Personally, I feel as if this years test could have been taken soley on the knowledge from AP Language. That said if you take honors english and calc bc, review a little before the test, you can pass the lit exam (assuming you did well on your lang if you took it). Sure poety sounds intimidating, but logical rhetorical knowledge will help you decifer even difficult verse.

ap english will help u a lot througout life... calc will help if ur going into math related fields such as engineering. if u were to choose out of those ap's ap span and econ would be best unless u want to go into history major

I'd do AP Calc BC over AP Eng. Lit. You don't learn too much new stuff; review books or the AP Eng. Language class should be sufficient, as the above poster said.

And I would drop AP Euro unless you haven't taken an AP history yet.

I believe that both of those AP's are regarded about equally. Take whatever you are more interested in. However, if you are going to be an engineering major, take AP Calc.

i'm leaning towards ap lit since i want to go into political science, but am worried that colleges will think i'm slacking off by taking calc ab instead of bc after taking precalc hnrs. After all, we already did part A of calc ab.

You would still be taking an AP Calculus class. I wouldn't worry about it that much. Certainly it might be held against you, but so might using blue ink on the application instead of black ink. If you take AP Calculus BC instead of AP Calculus AB, then you would be losing an entire AP course by not being able to take AP Lit. I would keep my AP count up and take what I'm more interested in.
