I have very limited space to take all the AP classes i want, so I was wondering if I could get some advice. I really love math, but may major in the science field. Do you think it would be best to take an AP science this year (on top of 2 others) and take physics in the summer and get the chance to take AP Calc senior year. Or take physics this year and Calc senior year, and not get to take an advanced science. Or simply not take Calc and take an Advanced science senior year without having to take anything in the summer. Sorry if this was confusing, just want to take both math and science but don’t have space in short, so I need to choose.
You may want to take AP Calc first then AP Physics C next. Many strong math students take AP Physics C without taking Physics.
I don’t think I could do that cause I’m taking pre-calc this year…
Then you can take AP Chem, or AP Bio, or AP Physics 1, or Physics this year. Be aware that these three 3 AP Science classes are not easy. Make sure you have at least 2 classes out of physics, chemistry, and biology at the end of senior year. They don’t have to be AP classes. Which science classes you have taken?
I’ve taken Biology and Chemisty, both regular classes
You can take AP Bio or AP Chem or Physics this year.
Selective colleges prefer students to have all 3 bio, chem, and physics classes.
Okay, thanks for the advice! I think ill take physics this year and then AP Calc next year, cause I suppose that would look good to colleges aswell as help for science. Do you think that sounds good?
