Okay so next year is my senior year and I currently am taking trig/pre Cal. I don't find that I like pre cal but I hear Cal is better for college admissions. So I wanted to know which is easier and why because I need to get atleast a B. Secondly just a side question if I just need a semester of a class can I drop it 2nd semesster of my senior year without my college acceptance being recided I believe its called

Depends, do you want to go into business or be a doctor?

Most likely business between those two options…

I’d go with Stats then, it’s easier.

Take both. I know Wharton (best undergrad b school if you’re not aware) strongly recommends that its students take calc. Stats is pretty easy too.

Calc is actually better and possibly slightly easier than precalc. The hardest part of it is remembering the algebra you learned years ago. I hated parts of precalc but calc wasn’t nearly as bad.

I’m taking both. From what I’ve heard at my school, Stats is A LOT harder. Could be just our teacher though.

Generally, if you’re going to major in a business-related field (accounting, finance, marketing, IB, etc.) choose Stats.

If you’re going to major in any science, technology, engineering, or math field, choose Calc.

Stats and Calc are definitely different types of math. I’m in Stats now, and I find it easier than any math course I’ve taken before. I guess it’s more numbers based, not big concepts and such. Lots of formulas, but not a lot of memorization (you get a pretty good formula sheet).
