I'm wondering which class would be better to take my senior year. I tried to take Ap stats this year (junior) but not enough people took it and they didn't have a class. I took honors pre calc this year. I'm thinking calc may be better so I don't get too rusty on all the pre calc but my teacher said some college look for more stat classes than calc. I went to my GC and she switched me into ap stats next year ( I originally signed up for calc.)
I'm just wondering which would be a better choice from the CC community. My goal is to go to UMich. If I can get into Ross, then I'd go business but if I dont, I'm thinking econ.
Thanks

Take both!

They are both 3 quarter classes. My school has 4 quarters and since they are 3 and have to be done by may, they can only be the first three. Which means I would have ap stats and ap calc and ap bio everyday for 3/4 the year. While I might be able to do this, it seems very stressful. I’m really trying to decide between ap calc and stats because ap bio seems interesting and the class gets to do cool things.

Well it depends what you’re going into. Taking a calc class as an engineer is a lot more valuable than a stat class. For some majors, calc is useless is stat is everything.

I agree. If you go into Engineering cal is a must. If you go into pre-med cal is also important ( probably more than stat) because is part of the track;any other science or major I would say stat would be more valuable.

AP Calc simply looks better than AP Stats. Plus, you are more likely to get credit for it.

If I were you, I would take Calc. I’ve heard that it’s a lot more challenging and it looks better.

^Yeah, but specifically Calc BC [forgot to mention]

Take AP Calc, it’s more interesting. I heard AP stat is really boring.
