Hey all, just wanted to ask your opinions about an issue I have. Currently I am in AP Calc, but find the class quite difficult and am probably gonna get a C for the first marking period.

I was thinking of switching into Honors Calc, which is alot easier, but will it affect my acceptance to college a great deal? I do not plan to go into any careers that focus on math.

Well you don't say to which selectivity level schools you are applying. But in your case I think it may be better to switch out. The AP class will only get harder, not easier. Having calc on your transcript is great and while AP is best (and the most rigourous yada, yada) to have honors calc is still very good. You should try to raise your grade to at least a B.

This does not matter much for college acceptance. You still are expected to get good grades==> I do not plan to go into any careers that focus on math.
