Ap Calc Review

Which book do you recommend for AP Calc AB? I have about 4 days to cram for it since I was busy studying for SAT II's.

Use Barron's.

Peterson's is one of the best AP Calculus AB/BC prep books out there. The ISBN number is 0768918278 if you want to overnight express order it. Also I strongly suggest using AP Central's practice FRQ and http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/ to review if you can't get the book since there is only 4 days left.

Learn the concepts. Know how graphs of f(x), f'(x), and f''(x) differ. Also know position-velocity-acceleration relations. Know how to find area between graphs, finding volumes of revolution, know basic limits, etc. Most of the free response are real basic questions that are worded wierd. The MC are tricky, but normally easy. This year suppose to be an "easy" year of the trend.

PatrickK, where did you hear that this year's test was suppose to be relatively "easy." I actually thought it would be considerably more difficult since the previous year's tests were quite easy by AP standards.

I heard that last year's was considered a "harder" test, and this years should be an easier year if the trend continues. Regardless, just prepare yourself as best as possible.

Do the curves change each year?
