Hi all. Would Duke care if I took AP Statistics instead of AP Calculus? In order to take AP Calc, i have to finish a course I'm taking this summer, which I don't know if I'll be able to do. I'm planning on applying to Trinity. What say you guys? I want to do business, or law. Thanks!

Probably not but you should try to take AP Calculus if you really want to go to Duke. Duke’s intro calculus classes have reputations for being extremely, extremely challenging and you could potentially place out of them with a 5 on AB or a 4/5 on BC.

No, they won’t care. I had a friend that had the same problem. He went with AP Stats, because, as we all know, AP Calc is useless unless you’re willing to go into engineering (even then, you’d end up relearning it and isn’t necessary to go to college to learn engineering).
