AP Calculus AB 2013 Thread

I’m so confused with chain rule. I really need help lol.

Damn i guess now my calc teacher wanted to kick it into gear … we covered limits their properties how to evalute them by plugging in and by algebraic manipulation … learned about left nd right sided limits how limits relate to the graph … we breifly did limits at infinite
i feel like this is personall little blog for calc :D

This is A** personal blog for calc
atleast i look at it that way
also a place to get help :D

Derivatives today :)!!! easy stuff…so far

I’m pretty sure I failed my calculus test. I hate the chain rule.

74% :(…

He weighted the grade too but one kid got 98% so we got a +2% weight but everyone else did pretty badly

I wish my teacher weighted our grades lol.

well since the tests are 90% of our grades and the average on each test is a 70% he almost needs to, if he doesn’t want everyone to fail. Just unfortuant 1 kid got above a 90 and it was a 98%!!! I hope this kids disappears or else I won’t do to hot in this class ;)

cant wait for the 1st derivative test though because so far its not bad

If anyone needs help, just PM me and I should be able to offer up some advise/help.

:)

My school just started two weeks ago so naturally we’re going to be behind everyone else for the whole year. I hope we finish on time.

We’re up to types of discontinuities.

Starting implicit differentiation tomorrow. I’m worried because I’m still struggling a bit with chain rule, but I’m going to keep working at it.

I got a 78.5 on my chapter one … i hate when teachers do half point but whteve every point counts … we finished everything with limits my teacher just wants to practice nd “master” limits

Did some more implicit differentiation stuff last Friday. I’m understanding everything so far, and it doesn’t seem too bad. I know that it’s definitely going to get much more challenging as this week progresses. I sense a test the end of this week. I’m going to try to stay on top of my calc game haha.

on implicit differentiation now. don’t get how to express something explicitly.

chain rule is alright, but still annoying- its hard to tell when to use what…
and then the quotient and multiplication rule. OMG.

end rant.

Hahahaha. Well, we finished implicit differentiation in one day. We are now on this other stuff that involves manipulating information given in order to find the rate of change. I’m not a huge fan.

Its confirmed…calc teacher doesnt like me :(

Hahahahaha what did you do egelloc? We started this crazy related rates stuff. I understood everything in class when the teacher lectured, but these problems that she assigned are crazy hard.

Had him last year for pre-calc and I did poorly (B). My partner did amazing with a high A with almost the same work. I also just got my 3 quiz that I had got everything corrent yet still received a C. I find his grading (for my tests only) insane. I have no idea why he doesnt like me but my mom suggests its because I play football (always talks about how he was bullied in high school by jocks). What should I do?

Hahahahaha that’s crazy man. I have a C in AP Calc right now too. I went from an A to a C after two tests. Hmm…I’d try to show him your altruistic side if that’s possible. Maybe try discussing with peers about something helpful that you did for a friend that was bullied or something. Basically, you want to do something or say something that will get his attention indirectly. An action that will make him think about how you defy the jock stereotype and how you’re not a typical bully. I’m sorry, I’m not really a person to give advise on these matters haha. I guess I’m kind of like a jock myself.
