Title says all.
I’m taking AP Cal AB as a senior this coming year!
Which review book for this class is better? Barron’s or PR?
Haha this is gonna be a tough class. Only two or three kids at my school got a 5.
I’m taking this my senior year!
The teacher is supposed to be really great; most students get a 4 or 5.
So I am going to take the course next year but I have already self studied most of this course because some of my other friends had. I personally found Differential Calculus very easy and I am sure most of you guys will too because I was able to complete that part in 2 weeks. I found Integral Calculus (especially anti-differentiation) to be relatively difficult and ended up spending almost a month studying all of it. I used PR for both Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus and it was really helpful. I might also suggest Peterson’s for slower learners as there are exercises and fill in the blank for each lesson. So Ap Calc AB should not be that difficult. If anyone else has any more questions please feel free to ask them!
I’m taking the class as a senior. Math is my weakest subject. Hopefully I can get an A and a 5 on the exam. This is going to be my worst class of the year. :-SS
I’m taking this class as a senior as well. Math is normally my best subject, but I’m already floundering. I need a 4 for credit so I’m hopeful I can get that. I have the 2015 version of 5STA5 for this class but no other study materials besides my notes.
The AB teacher at my school is not good, but the BC one is amazing. So I switched to BC today. I’m terrified!
Hello everyone! My school cancelled AP Calculus AB this year, so I and two others are going to spend first period (and most of our free time) self-studying it. Good luck to everyone this year!
Hi everyone! I’m taking this class second semester. Unfortunately, I ended up with a teacher who shows up high to class on a weekly basis and spends the entire time telling personal stories about his travels. I’ll have to do a lot of studying on my own, but I’m determined to do well in the class!
Started today, homework wasn’t too bad. It was on limits.
I saw some people on this site say this class is joke, BUT literally everyone who took this class at my school were struggling to pass it and said the class was hell.
Taking AB 1st semester and BC second semester as a senior. Supposedly my teacher is real good - he only had 9 fail the AP test ever. I’m more of a Humanities guy, but I’m not too bad at math cause in asian ( perpetuating stereotypes ftw )
Started with a week of really easy pre cal/alg 2 review. Started limits today. Pretty damn tedious, but really easy. We’ll see how I do with derivatives and integrals soon hahaha
I am taking AP Calc AB as a Junior this year. I started studying from a review book right away (this way helps me the most). My school does not offer AP exams, so I am supposed to take Pre-Calc this year. I am self-studying for this exam tho. I did the same for AP Bio and AP World History…I jumped into Princeton Review books right away. Its difficult at first but I just spend a week on one review chapter, look up videos and tutorials, and its all good I don’t wanna wait for a teacher to explain it because I heard that Calc requires alot of self studying too anyway.
Had my first day of this course today! Wasn’t too difficult, just went over our summer homework. I’m using Barron’s as a review book
Loving this class.
My teacher is the head of our academic department and has only had 1 person in the last 3 years get below a 4.
Help! My calc teacher is a first year teacher fresh out of college. She tries her best and is a nice person, but I am really falling behind as her teaching style does not match my learning style. I can’t drop calc but I can’t switch to the better class because I would have to drop AP bio. Are there supplemental materials online that can help me learn the calc material? Specifically limits? Thanks
Anybody else think their teacher is a satanist.
ahahah I actually really like my teacher but apparently the AP Stat teacher is actually satan
