***AP Calculus AB 2015-2016 Thread***

Do you guys remember there was a question that states lim(2)=g(2) and lim(x) (x–2-) don’t equal lim(x) (x–2+)

And is there an answer to a question similar to the total distance in frq is -13.xxx ???

@skieurope I know you are smart about this stuff, do you know if they have something that compares MC answers to search for cheating? I dont know why my friend was asking and I believe everyone in the room had different forms so…

@dajcobra I would assume that the CB does some spot checking done for cheating.

for the funnel, i saw it as like rotation around the axis… i don’t know if that was right though?

The Non-calc MC was crazy hard, but the Calc MC was really easy.

WAS IT A POINT OF INFLECTION? I think this was part b on one of the first FRQs…
I said no it wasn’t because the graph had a corner at the point which means the derivative doesn’t exist at that point

Yeah, I don’t think we should discuss multiple choice questions in this amount of detail.

What the heck was with the funnel question? I hated it so much. For part b, I just rotated the function around the x-axis, but a friend of mind set that she used a circle cross-section so she got half of what I found. For part c, I was dumbfounded but realized after the test that I had to take the derivative in respect to time then isolate dh/dt. The rest was easy though. So much for my perfect score…

hey guys, can someone approximate the cut off for a 4 in the ap calculus or 5. Btw the free response are released so we should talk about it.

Can someone differentiate y^2 / (x-1) with the point (2,3)?

FRQ predicted scores for me:
1: 3 (messed up the riemann sum)
2: 9 (easiest question on the FRQs)
3: 5 (didn’t finish part c and forgot what I put on part b)
4: 6 (did the setups right on b and c just made dumb errors)
5: 1 (lol messed up badly)
6: 9 (I practiced these problems a lot in class)

Multiple Choice:
anywhere from 30-34
predicted: 32
Can I get a 5?

Everyone, just use this http://appass.com/calculators/calculusab It’s the most helpful link

@KG5APR Yo http://appass.com/calculators/calculusab

can someone tell me if i atleast made a 4. the most i could get wrong on multiple choice both section is 20 wrong out of 45 and my predicted points total is about 22 out of 54.

@KG5APR yes that’s a composite score of 71.4 which is a low 5

@Tajmahal Thanks! :slight_smile: I would barely get a five!
@writerzt71 Thanks!

@KG5APR No problem, and also the FRQ’s are now released: https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/pdf/ap/ap16_frq_calculus_ab.pdf
