AP Calculus AB 2015 Thread

@huzi98 1a) Is probably 2-3 points. 1b) probably 1 point, maybe two points. 3a) Definitely 1 point 3b)Probably 3 points (If you put the unit you at least get 1 point no matter what) 3c)Probably 2 points.

4a)1-2 points. If it is two you will get one point for having the correct 0 slopes and another for having all of them correct and neat. If it is one point you get it for the slope field being correct.

Anyone remeber what the answer to 6b is

I remeber getting 3,-1, and that was my only solution

4d should be y = 2x - 2.

dy/dx = 2x - y
d^2y/dx^2 = 2 - 2x + y

Since the second derivative of a line is 0, to find the equation of the line, we need to find a general solution to when d^2y/dx^2 = 0.

d^2y/dx^2 = 2 - 2x + y = 0
y = 2x - 2

@RHSclassof16 Thanks!

What do you guys think the curve will be like?

Probably similar to the previous years.

@Namoree that was the same thing i got

was 6c) -1/64 ?

@kayjay88 I think I got 1/32. Let me do it out and see what I get again.

I just did the math out and I got 1/32 again.
d^2y/dx^2 = ((dy/dx)(3y^2-x)-(y)(6ydy/dx-1))/((3y^2-x)^2)
plugin and you get (¼)(4)-(1)(½)/(4)^2
=1/32.
I am no expert so I might be wrong.

What was the answer to 6b?

@RHSclassof16 i got (3,-1) only for 6b.

@kayjax I got the same answer as you/

@zach1198 for which one?

6b

@zach1198 what test did you get? form o?

@kayjay88 Yes I had form O.

for 2c) did you get -3…

I didn’t get -3 for 2c) it was positive

@mayman it had to be negative because the distance between the 2 functions was decreasing.
