I am entering the 11th grade next year and I am taking Pre-Calculus Honors which is a full year course. I really want to take both AP Calculus AB and BC but I don't see how I will be able to because I can't take a class for AB in junior year because I'm doing Pre-Calc. I can't take both APs in senior year right? I heard there was a CB policy against it. So is it reasonable for me to self-study AB in 11th and take the test and then take the class for BC in senior year? Any ideas?

Take pre-calc in 11th, and then take BC as a senior.

You receive an ab “sub-score” when you take the bc test, as about 60% of the bc test is ab material. And it’s certainly possible to learn of the material for the bc test in one year.

However, if the bc class offered at your school assumes you’ve already taken ab, you may want to do some self-studying/summer studying to catch up, as the class may start with bc material that requires ab knowledge.

oh really, i didn’t know that!! thanks for the advice
