hey i kno the Ap is only like...6 days away..but anyone have any free calculator programs that would be useful during the sections where calcs are allowed? preferably for the TI 89 Titanium and like a tutorial maybe on how to use it? (i just got the calc),

any help would be appreciated thanks!

in my opinion, its not that great of an idea to try and learn a whole new calculator six days before the exam, especially if you have used an 83 all year. yes, the 89 has many calculus advantages, but the exam is set up in a way so that it is not much of an advantage in terms of exam content. that calculator takes a decent amount of time to manuver, but if youre up to it, go for it. in my opinion, i wouldnt change right now

I wouldn't suggest using the 89 if you just got it less than a week before the test.

Can anyone clarify this question who used the PR book for AP Calc AB--Are the practice tests in PR easier/about the same/or harder than the real test? I have found PR easier than some of the things my teacher's given my class.

okk let me edit my post guys lol, i havent had it for too long but for about 3 months that ive been using it..i just said i just got it because i dont really know how to use advanced advanced functions...i can eval. def int. do derivatives, do some slope fields and stuff like that (inflection, rel.maxima) ..i just want to kno any programs like..Trapezoidal rule or Reimann Sums

And also im gona take my 83 for basic things because i read u are allowed 2 calcs on the test.

"do some slope fields"

you can do slope fields on the 89? HOW? I gotta know how before I take the test lol... it'd be less of a pain than plugging points into the derivative.

and yea, you're allowed to take 2 calculators

^^
yess u can do slope fields.. first of all press mode --> diff equations. then go to y= and there should be liek y' n stuff.. so basically if u have dy/dx = 2x..or y' = 2x..plug 2t in ur calc. if its 2y plug in 2 y1 (dont ask thats just how it is) then hit graph and it should give it to u..

btw no one has yet answered my question..does anyone have programs or trickss to the 89??

download calc tools for the ti-89, anything you could think of doing will be on it.

Slope fields are on the non calc part I believe.

diesel or anyonee..where can i get calc tools? and is there like a tutorial on how to use the program?

The AP exam is not like the SAT. The calculator won't really help you unless you know what you're doing.
