AP Calculus AB or BC?

I am a sophomore at a boarding school and I have to decide the courses to take next year.
For math, I can take Ap calculus Ab or AP Calculus BC. But I am not very good at math even though I have taken honor Algebra II and Honor Precalculus. And I am thinking about taking AP calculus AB instead of BC. But I am afraid that my admission will get hurt if I do not take the most rigorous math class. So my qustion is "

If you are not good at Mathematics, take the AB.

Between AB and BC, they will not toss out your application.
Excel at what you enjoy. I assume since you do not like math, you probably do not enjoy it. So go and show them what you really like (in this case, medicine)

They could care less about AB vs BC, as long as you do well. If you’re a prospective engineering major, however, it would be best to take BC. Still, it doesn’t matter that much.

If you’re a sophomore, you could take AB your junior year and BC your senior year. Thats what I did and I’m pretty sure you’re still “taking the most rigorous math classes” if you do it that way.

See Dartmouth AP Policy: http://www.dartmouth.edu/~frstyear/work/policies/AP%20Chart%202012

A 4/5 on AB will give you credit for Math 3

A 4/5 on BC will give you credit for Math 3 AND Math 8

This same inquiry from the same ID appears on the parents forum claiming to be from the student’s mother, and has been answered at length and in detail there. (No mention of boarding school.)

take AB. for sure.
