AP Calculus AB vs BC or Dual Enrollment Calculus

Hi! So I am in a dilemma of whether to do AP Calc AB or BC. I am currently finishing up IB SL Mathematics at my school, and that does cover calculus however it doesn’t go into depth with Calculus as much as AB does. BC calculus is assumed to be very rigorous at my school as the teacher is very hard. I understand calculus to a certain extent - however it is not my ABSOLUTE favorite thing to do and I’m not like super super amazing at it. I am fairly good with it. Would you recommend AB or BC after IB SL Math?

Also, I have the option to Dual Enroll Calc 1 at my local community college/university. I will be applying to in state and out of state colleges next year, but will most probably go in state (Florida) for college. But in the idea that out of state colleges are plausible, do you think Calc 1 as dual enrollment looks better/worse than AP Calc AB/BC? I’m not too worried about credit.

AP Calculus AB = Calculus I
AP Calculus BC = Calculus I and II

I would recommend AP Calculus BC because it will cover the most material. It starts with Calculus I, so you shouldn’t need to know any calculus when you start the class.

Definitely Calculus BC. It covers all the AB topics and more! And btw, at my school, you just need to be in Honors Precal to go onto Calc BC

Since you’ve already learned a little Calc, BC shouldn’t be too hard. I think you should go for it.

The difference between BC And AB at my school is not a lot, but I think it helps so much in the long run. Plus, you can always get the AB subscribe if you struggle with the Calc II topics.
