AP Calculus BC 2011 Thread

Did anyone else find #6 of the free response to be impossible?

6 was very do-able. I’m fairly confident I got it right. The first two parts were pretty easy points, part c was somewhat straightforward, and d you just needed to have studied that particular type of question. Not going to reveal any more because I want to respect College Board’s 48 hour policy.

i agree with indestructibleSD. part a and b were very doable. part c was straightforward as long as you got part b right and part d was a particular type of question you should know in bc.

Barring stupid mistakes, I think that I got a 5. I know prior to the 1/4 penalty removal, a 5 was 64 raw points of 108. What do you think will be the new amount for a 5?

For #6 a-b was free points. c-d was a little trickier and i did it in a very convoluted way, im not sure if ill get credit for those.

One part in #5 was a little tricky, i dont think i did it right.

Rest was really, pretty easy. Nothing crazy in MC, i was unsure on a couple but meh.

Very confident i got a 5.

I am very pleased with those free-response! No polars or parametrics, and I’m fairly sure I got 6.a) and b)!
I seriously feel like I messed up on a lot of the other questions & their parts though, which is not good. I couldn’t explain what some of the numbers meant.

MC was okay too, but I normally have terrible accuracy on it.
I guessed a few, but hopefully I got the rest right.

Are people guessing 75% for a 5 now?
I think this year’s was easy compared to other years, so maybe even higher?

What did you all think about 5?? I thought that one was actually very difficult… Was there four or thee parts to it?? I know I got the first two parts.

And oddly enough, number 3… I could not do the last two parts…

And I hope not too high… <a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

That is what Collegeboard said. That is adjusted for the 1/4 point thing too. The 2008 has a 5 at a 69 raw and 2003 has 5 at a 67 raw… I think I got 70 raw at worst…

Guys, did you get a “large” number of the same letter in the multiple choice?
I got more than 2 in a row.
(I hope I"m allowed to ask/say this; I know others have posted this question as well. But I won’t be too specific just in case.)

Worst as in lowest to get a 5, or worst as in the cut off won’t be smaller than 70?

Worst to get a 5.

And I didn’t pay attention the letters on the MC.

I thought the test was very easy - the multiple choice only had two or three tricky questions and the part twos were very fair.

Was the calculator ever supposed to be in degree mode?

is the test different for international students??
Cuz I found mine rather difficult. The Taylor- Maclaurin series question was just impossible!!

well that was hard…

■■■.
i think i failed.
holy moly… that was so freaking hard.

okay so who remembers what answers?

The questions i thought were hard were the one abt P3 and F3 for mult. choice (i said P3 = F3/3!)

um the an = 5n thingy i said ( an = bn but thats wrong lol)

um then the Ln (-2x) thing i said concave up and increasing (i think it was decreasing) …

My answers to the whole first section of mult. choice are : dadddbbcadbdcaccabbbbedcdbb

■■■■■ yo delete ur post before u get fked

and the test was INSANELY hardddd
especially non-calc MC and last FR

Kyle I think you were 1/3 of the ones you mentioned.

And you should probably delete your post lol… Not that it matters that I suppose. The forms are different. (Form Q and R… at least for my class) and collegeconfidential will probably delete your post.

M/c especially non calculator part kicked my ass but I’m confident about every free response except perhaps the last part of 6. I’m hoping for a 4, although its probably going to be 2 or 3 :(
