AP Calculus BC Question?

<p>So I recently found out about this AB sub score on the BC exam. </p>

<p>How is it graded? Is it:</p>

<p>Raw Score AB Material = AB Sub score
Raw Score BC Material + AB Material = BC Score</p>

<p>or </p>

<p>Raw Score AB Material=AB Sub score
Raw Score BC Material=BC Score</p>

<p>So tl;dr : Possible to get a BC score of a 2, yet AB sub score of a 5?</p>

<p>I'm not too sharp with BC topics, but I can drift by AB problems. Partly due to the fact that my BC class were held specifically 7 in the morning, so I was asleep most of the time lol</p>

<p>I believe it is the latter. It certainly is possible to get a 2 for BC and a 5 AB sub score (though unlikely).</p>

<p>Fairly sure it’s the latter. I’ve heard of kids getting 4 BC and 5 AB, and I’ve also heard (very, very unlikely) of kids getting 5 BC and 4 AB.</p>

<p>What is the AB subscore of the AP Calculus BC Exam?
The AB subscore of the AP Calculus BC Exam is based on the (approximately) 60 percent of the BC exam that covers AB topics. The AB subscore is intended to give colleges more information about the achievement of AP Calculus BC students. </p>

<p>So basically your AB subscore is 60% of the AB topics on the BC Exam.
Your BC score is your TOTAL SCORE of ALL the questions on the BC Exam.</p>

<p>You can get a AB subscore of a 5 by getting about 65-70% of the AB questions right on the BC Exam, but get a majority of the BC questions wrong, HOWEVER, I think its really impossible to get a 2 on BC and 5 on AB. I’ve seen 3 on BC and 5 on AB though.</p>
