AP calculus credit?

I’m taking AP calculus AB tomorrow and I was hoping to get out of some math requirements, but according to the Brandeis website AP calc doesn’t get you out of the quantitative reasoning requirement. Poop! Is that true? If I’m not majoring in math is there any reason to strive for a 4/5? Because I sort of got the impression that Brandeis doesn’t have a math requirement per se, just quantitative reasoning, which is more statistics?

Check and see if it gets you out of the science requirement. Brandeis is weird in that it counts math as science. I got out of the science requirement because I went to school overseas and took more advanced math that basically corresponded to Math 10 a and b. For qr, what I personally recommend to take is Econ 2a, preferably with Prof Coiner, because it’s interesting, is not that hard even though it involves numbers and he’s a really good teacher.
