AP Calculus Form B?

I have a quick question (probably a stupid one too) : on the college board released AP Calc AB Tests, what is the difference between the form b free response questions and the unlabeled ones? thanks in advance!

They are given at a later date.

I don't quite understand...

There's a late-testing date a few weeks after the normal one for people that couldn't take a test for some reason (testing conflict etc).

They're actually given in different time zones. Form B is primarily given in Europe. It's to prevent folks from finishing the exam prior to other folks starting and relaying information.

The late testing form is not Form B, but is a form that is never released and posted.

Oh, my bad.. I have been lied to. ;_;

Thanks for the clarification!

Form B is for the people who couldn't take the test due to the fact of other AP tests conflicting or they just missed that day. Also form B is MUCH MUCH harder than form A. The questions in the free response require more conceptual analysis on the problems compared to form A. And the curve on that test is higher since the people taking it are really smart and will ruin the curve.

Thanks for the great responses guys! You just saved me hours of needless work!

garner4eva, that is simply incorrect. There's a section of the AP Central site (it looks like you need a teacher password for it, though) that states what Form B is for.

And the students in 2007 thought that Form B was easier than Form A.

The curve for the two forms do run independently of one another.

This thread about AP Chem talks about this phenomenon as well (<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/346088-form-b-late-test.html)%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/346088-form-b-late-test.html)</a>.</p>

also, all international schools overseas use Form B on the regular testing date
