Im in my senior year right now and I've decided that i want to do AP calculus. My school only offers the material for AB but i asked and i was told that my math teacher could give me extra classes and teach me the bc material. I got a 97 on my math avg last year (it was pre calc in 11th grade). i found out theres an ab subscore for the bc exam, lets say i get a 4 on the bc but a 5 on the ab subscore can i apply to college with the ab subscore and would it be read as me getting a 5 on calc ab or would i have to do both exams

I’d recommend using this tool by Collegeboard to check. However, double-check the information by researching the institutions you’re planning on to apply, as every institution has different credit policies. Typically a 3-5 on the AP Calculus BC exam could eliminate two semesters of Calculus, i.e. Calculus I and Calculus II, but always keep in mind that the score requirements are set by the institutions themselves.
