AP Calculus...

So I'm taking AP Calc AB next year, I know piece of cake for many of you, but I really suck at math. >.< I'm buying Peterson's AP Calc to prep over the summer...any other suggestions for me to get a decent grade in AP Calc next year?

Thanks~!

Cliff's AP Calculus, and Barrons, you're set for a 5.

I am taking Calc AB next year. But I will take both the AB and BC exam in may. Which book/books do you recommend to self-study both these exams over this summer to get a 5 on the AP exam?

If you're studying both, PR's book covers AB and BC pretty well in one book...I'm not particularly fond of their practice tests, however. I'd use a second book, such as Barrons or Cliff's, as suggested by Gumball, especially for practice tests. Also, make sure you check out released FRQ and MC for practice.

You can't take both the AB and BC tests in the same year.

Yea, you can take the B/C though, about 50% of it is the same as the A/B exam because some of the material overlaps. Anyway, calc isn't that hard if you have a good teacher and keep up with your work. Good luck

Are you serious? Where does it say you cant take AB and BC in the same year?

u just can't

besides if you take bc, you get an ab subscore

I took regular calculus this year, as my school doen't have the resources to offer an AP class.

We did have a student transfer here mid-year who was taking AP Calc in Texas, and he was way behind us.

Go figure

It's impossible to take AB and BC in one year since they are at the same time and since some of the BC test has AB questions.

As for prep books all I can suggest is to not use Princeton Review at all. It is a horrible book. Use Barrons.

I really liked the Princeton Review Calc book. What did you think was so bad about it?
