AP Chem and AP bio

I was wondering which AP course would be most useful in terms of Premed. My H.S AP Chem teacher emphasized the need to take her course if a we were interested in entering a career in medicine, but then again biology is a crucial part of the medical process so which one would you recommend taking?

I would take both. They will prepare you for the introductory bio/chem classes that you will have to take in college (they are both required for med schools).

take whichever one has the better teacher, the one that will guarantee you a 5 on the AP exam, the one that fits in better with your schedule, the one you will get a better grade in, the one you like more, the one that fits closely to whichever major you plan to apply to as an undergrad. those are some ideas to go by.

you will take both in college anyway and it doesnt really matter which one you pick in terms of med school since when you apply to med school you will have taken all the necessary chemistry and biology courses.

i picked AP physics over AP chem in my senior year even though i planned to major in chemical engineering at the time (which chemistry is really more related to) because the teacher was better and it fit better with my schedule. im gonna have to take physics in college anyway so i figured ill get it over with now.

btw now im at the end of my senior year... got accepted to good schools as a chemical engineering major (without takin AP Chem) even though now i plan to switch my major to biology.

I would take both. Right now, I'm taking AP Chem and planning on AP Bio next year. I you only have one year, and not enough space in your schedule, pick whichever one you feel more comfortable with.
