AP Chem and AP Stats Textbooks

I decided I'm going to self-study these courses and I have no idea which textbooks I should get.
If any of you have taken the class/course, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could recommend books for me to use.
Thanks :)

Bump…please?

Second and final bump…

Any response would be nice.

For Stats I use the practice of statistics…

zumdahl chemistry

My school uses the Zumdahl Zumdahl textbook (6th edition i think) for AP Chemistry and they use Statistics In Action (Watkins) for Stats. From my experience I would try to stay away from the latter, the explanations are not straightforward, and when you selfstudy you want straightforward explanations. My AP Stats teacher constantly complained about the book but my class all passed the exam, only two people got a 3, 12 got 4‘s and i was the only 5.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply
Now time to spend a hundred or so dollars
sigh

The Practice of Statistics, 3rd Edition. I recommend it, the explanations are all pretty straight-forward and there are online assessments that go along with the textbook. www.apstatsmonkey.com also has some great notes and worksheets (answers included) that you can work with - the chapters all correspond with the textbook!
