So I got the Barron’s AP Chemistry prep book, the 7th edition, without realizing there was an 8th edition. I’ve tried to google whether or not there were going to be any changes and can’t seem to find anything. But the Barnes and Nobles website describes the 8th edition as having practice tests “aligned with the upcoming, new AP Chemistry exam.” Do I need to buy the 8th edition?
Unless you really want to access those newer practice exams, I would save the money. The 7th and 8th editions are identical with the exception of a few FRQs, but you can find better, more realistic practice FRQs on the College Board’s past AP Chem FRQs website.
@azwu331 Thanks for responding! I didn’t really want to spend money. But do you know if the exam is changing?
It changed in 2013; it won’t be changing again any time soon.
