AP Chem Calculator

I know ap chem doesn’t allow calculators on the mc but was that true for the older tests? specifically the 1989 one which I’m doing for practice. I hate it when i get stuff wrong b/c of a bad estimation. Its a pain doing Pv=nrt w/o a calc. I’m talking about questions like this:

How many grams of calcium nitrate, Ca(NO3)2, contains 24 grams of oxygen atoms?

(A) 164 grams
(B) 96 grams
(C) 62 grams
(D) 50. grams
(E) 41 grams

I could do it but its annoying and it seems kinda pointless for collegeboard to not allow a calc for it.

I'm pretty sure it started the no calculator thing in 1998, so any MC sections before that will be much harder to do without a calculator.

thanks, thats just what I wanted to know.
