AP Chem Help

So I'm a sophomore student at TJHSST (ranked #1 public school) and they have a summer Chemistry credit but I earned my chemistry credit somewhere else (the credit wasn't even honors, so I learned way less than a typical school) because I wasn't enrolled at TJHSST as a freshman.

So I'm in AP Chemistry right now and we took a diagnostic test (average was low 80) but I got 64. Through test correction, I can bring it up to 41/50, versus ~45/50 [50 points isn't too much compared to other exams/labs) The contents are just gonna get harder, but from what I heard, AP Chem is just a review of HN Chem with just few more difficult contents. Should I stay in the class?? I know less than other students so I'm behind (I had less practice, they have more understanding, they learned few more units) If I try really hard, I feel I would only achieve a B or so at the end. Would that be better in an AP class vs A in Honors? My teacher for AP isn't that difficult compared to others.

Right now, lots of things are review contents so I can't really tell from now.

If I do stay, what prep book should I get? Barrons or PR (or others)?
Any other suggestions?

I'm also taking AP Bio and AP BC but I have those classes on different days than Chem (fortunately).

EDIT: If I drop, then I will go to HN Chemistry and take AP Chem next year. At TJ, we also next a post-AP for AP Chem (just 1 more level).

AP Chem covers two semesters of college chemistry. That is 20 chapters of the average college freshman chemistry textbook. Compare the syllabus from the chemistry class you took to the syllabus for your AP Chem class.
