AP Chem MC vs. Chem SAT 2

Which one is harder?

Thanks in advance!

AP Chem MC, the SAT II for Chem is pretty much a joke.

So say I get a 4 on the AP exam, would that translate (generally) to 730+?

Yeah, probably.

The SAT II has a weird section where there’s a statement (T or F) followed by an explanation (T or F) and if the explanation is valid in explaining the statement.

For example,
When ice melts, there is no temperature change during a phase change. T or F?
…Because the heat added is used to break the hydrogen bonding. T or F?
Correct explanation?

Some people get confused on this section because they think that if the explanation is true, then it must be a correct explanation as well but this isn’t always the case.

Correct explanation.

4 does not translate to 730+. maybe 690+. the sat II is EASIER but it’s also DIFFERENT. It’s apples and oranges here. so prepare a bit for sat II and you can get even a 750+. go through the different question types.

i was always fascinated by the AP chem exam. i thought the mc was pretty easy but i still ended up getting a 4.

I remember there were some questions testing random knowledge - like the one about which metal is used in transistors last year.
