Before anyone asks, AP phsyics is full. I’m a high school senior, I’ve never taken physics before. I’ve taken honors chem though and made a 100 in that class. Chemistry is one of my absolute favorite subjects, and I don’t have any doubt about doing well in the class and on the exam. But, since I’ve never taken physics, would colleges prefer me to take it this year INSTEAD of AP chem? (I can’t take both)
Forgot to add: I have taken physical science though. Just not the same as physics.
Usually, it is best to have a year each of biology, chemistry, and physics in high school. This is especially the case if you intend to major in anything that requires college courses in these subjects. College students majoring in chemistry and related subjects (chemical engineering, materials engineering, biochemistry and other biology majors, geology) need to take physics in college. It will be harder if you have not had a high school level exposure to physics beforehand.
