What is your experience with it? Did it help you understand all or most of the concepts well? If not, which would you recommend?
My class is using it, and I find it wordy and boring (I know it's chemistry and I shouldn't find it very interesting, but I start falling asleep every time I look at it). I keep hearing other chemistry textbooks are better. Should I get another textbook, or read Chang more?
I know studying more should help me understand more; I've kind of been slacking the entire year :(

I find Chang to be reasonably readable, though I don’t usually have problems with textbooks. If you’re not doing well with Chang I’d suggest one of the many guides out there. I believe Cliffsnotes and “XXX for Dummies” have Chem ones, along with the Barron’s, Princeton Review, etc. prep books.

Thanks for the reply
I guess I should actually read it more thoroughly. But I just think it’s really odd that my teacher teaches with a Zumdahl book? Is it normal for teachers to teach from a different book than the one they give you to use?
