AP Chem Score????

My AP Chem. class just took a full practice test and it was really tough. I got a 53% on FRQ and 55% on the MC. I’m now very nervous for the exam because I thought I was doing much better. Does anyone know what this would result in a score from 1-5?? TIA.

I’m pretty sure it is a 3

It would be a 4.

oh ok, I’ve seen a lot of comments that the new AP exam has a higher percentage to earn a 5. Some people were saying 75-80%. Is this true?

@galaxy8 I highly doubt that. I think it’s somewhere in the 60s.

Based upon last year, no.

I just scored 40/60 in MCs. How much percantage do I have to have in order to score 4 o 5 in general

According to this report, last year you needed a 72 or higher for a 5.

Hi guys ! So I am really worried about my AP scores because I need a 3 to have my high school diploma recognized in my Swiss college. I think I definitely got at least like 30 out of 60 questions on MC and like maybe 50% on Free response, do you think I got a 3 at least ?? What do you think are the minimum scores to get one ? Thank you so much !!

@Melt10 - According to AP Pass using the 2008 curve (http://appass.com/calculators/chemistry) and the scores you think you earned, then yes that would be a 3. The curves are usually very generous since AP tests are difficult, so you can figure out how many more you could have missed before earning a 2 (using the website). The only thing I’ve heard is that the changed test from last year has less of a curve, but it should not be a huge difference.

Okay, thank you so much for your answer ! It is a little bit of a relief :slight_smile: Anyway, a few more days to wait before getting all the scores !!!
