im concerned that my class is behind. we've reached around chapter 12 ( i think) in the brown chemistry book. i's the chapter on gases and gas laws

we use zumdahl, we finished rate laws/kinetics (chap12) before break

well my teacher is an idiot...we've only done chapters 1-4, and ch.6 in zumdahl.

chapter 16(?) zumdahl

We just finished a chapter on solutions.

Our test on chapters 8 and 9 of Brown, Lemay, and Bursten is a week from tomorrow. It's about orbitals and bonding.

we're on chapter 13 of the brown/lemay/bursten/murphy book

we use the brown book and we've done chapters 1-8, 10, and we have to do chapters 12, 18, and 25 over break.
the teacher is planning on finishing up chapters 9, 11 and 12 before semester finals at the end of january.
does it seem like my ap chem class is at a rapid pace? has anyone else done this much?

I use the Silberberg Chemistry Book. We covered: Components of Matter, Stoichiometry, Chemical Reactions, Gas Laws and Kinetic Molecular Theory, Thermochemistry, Quantum Theory and Atomic Structure, and Electron Configuration and Chemical Perioidicity.

We are on Chemical Bonding and the Shapes of Molecules now.

We use Chang. We're on Chapter 9, Chemical Bonding.
We've recently done:
8: Periodic Table
7. Quantum Mechanics
6. Intro to Thermodynamics
5. Gases and Kinetic Molecular Theory and stuff
4. Reactions and stuff

...

Are we behind?

EDIT: 600POSTW00T

does anyone know how far into brown & lemay we're supposed to get?

i took ap chem last year, and by this time, we had finished chapters 1-5, 10, 14-18 in Brown/Lemay book.

I'm using Chang's Chemistry textbook and we've just finished Chapter 14 - Chemical Equilibrium. We still need to do Chapters 12, and 15-21.

our class just finished chap 8 in zumdahl (lewis structures etc), maybe I should start to worry about the exam and study a bit ahead.......

chapter 16 in chang. solubility

How much stuff do we need to have covered by the AP exam?

^You will definitely need to know equilibirum.

My class just finished entropy, spontaneous reactions.
(Delta) G = (Delta) H - T (Delta) S

We are starting Equilibrium right after this four-day weekend!!
