AP Chem?

How hard is AP Chem? I took honors chem & I did okay. Is it heavy on organic chemistry?

nope. orgchem is only one chapter in the whole class.

If you did okay in honors chem, you’ll be fine in AP. I was horrible in honors and am doing well in AP.

It’s too hard for you. Try APES instead.

ap chem isnt that hard

Personally, I find it a bit challenging since my teacher goes super fast and gives pretty hard tests. But as long as you keep up with textbook readings, problem sets, and other assignments you should be fine. It has worked for me

There isn’t really a “real” answer to this question. Some teachers teach differently and some students learn differently. Some people will say it’s easy while others will say it’s the most difficult class they’ve ever taken. Since you said you did okay in Chemistry honors, I would say take the class but prepare to work even harder since it is an AP course. AP chem at my school is moderately difficult but it’s basically just memorization for me.

Thanks everybody.

What is APES?

AP Environmental

Oh, okay. Is it more on the biology side?

It’s basically half bio half Al Gore.

^lol.

AP Chem isn’t too bad, as long as you do the assignments and read the textbook.

It’s not too bad. It really does largely depend on the teacher and his/her grading style and how much work he/she assigns. The material itself is pretty straight-forward.
