Ok, I have my AP chem exam in about a week. I started studying about 2 weeks ago.
What are the major topics on the test?
I am guessing Acid-base, Acid-base equil., and Equil.
Am i correct?

I also read that i can expect an equil. Question on the FR.
Also, how hard are the equations? Its been a long time since i have looked at my complex redox and atypical equations.
How important is nuclear chem. and orgo?

Nuclear chem is minimal, like at most 2 questions on MCQ. I’m not sure if nuclear is ever included in FRQ.
Orgo is also minimal on the MCQ, but with a chance of being on the FRQ.

Basically you are royally screwed.

nuclear chem = maybe 2 questions in MC. NO NUCLEAR CHEM IN FRQ

Organic chemistry has 2 MCQ’s but sometimes it’ll help you solve some questions on the FRQ… though it’s never directly tested on the FRQ. (ex. they’ll show organic chem structures, but ask you about the bonds rather than the naming)

Honestly, everything is significant on the exam. However, if you’re really pressed, study Stoich, Electrons, Bonding, Periodicity, Kinetics, Eq / Acid-Base, Electrochem, and thermodynamics (not thermochem)

Also, the quations ar hard. However, you’re guarenteed to get at least a 50 in that section, as half of the section is very easy and then the otehr half is hard. However, the naming section is only like 5% of ur total exam score so don’t worry too much.

I am not that worried about it. I just dont want to waste my last week studying tiny details that wont show up on the exam.

i am really worried about this test…i have been getting low 3’s…and want to raise my grade to 4/5…any tips?

see what your missing and study that.

need tips as well. really scared. ::(:
