I will be a Junior next year and I will be taking AP Chemistry and AP Biology concurrently, Physics in Senior year, and these are my only AP's for Junior year. I am a little worried that I will be stressed out in these two classes but I like both. If I drop one of them, I will have two free periods. Do you think I should take both together?

If those are your only AP’s, then take both. You certainly do not need two free periods.

i took them both this (senior) year along with 3 other APs and in general, i didnt think that it was that bad. but, that’s just me. you should ask the teachers about what the workload for the year will be like, and then act accordingly.

if you find that it will be too much for you, are there no other APs that you could take instead?

I have a friend who did that, and he did fine in the classes and the exam.

I took them both with 3 other AP Classes and thought this year was easy. You will be MORE than fine with only 2 AP’s. Focus more on chem than bio, but don’t neglect bio. However, if you wait til 2 weeks before the Bio AP Exam, you can still get a 5 if you study :P

I can also take AP English and AP American History but I am only good at science and math and I am planning to take AP Calculus BC and Statistics in Senior year. So AP Chem & Bio are my only choice for next year.

Between, are SAT II Chem & Bio as hard as the AP exams?

I think the SAT II in Bio is comparable to AP.

Please take both classes! I took 14 this year including those two—they were two of the hardest, but yet the most enjoyable in learning.

I think the AP Bio exam was much harder than the SAT II, but that’s just me.

I just completed junior year and took AP Bio and AP Chem with 4 other AP classes. I made an “A” in both classes both semesters. You shouldn’t worry about it! AP Bio is easy as long as you read the book , and in AP Chem all you have to do is understand a basic concept and be able to build on it. Plus, if you take AP Bio, the SAT II exam will be really easy.
