<p>I noticed that they give credit for CHEM 101 and CHEM 102. Anyone in engineering know if AP credit will relieve the first year chemistry requirement for an engineering major?</p>
<p>If you get a 3 you are out of the first semester, if you get a 4 you are out of the first year.</p>
<p>Make sure you talk with your advisor. There are benefits of NOT accepting the credit.</p>
<p>There is a one semester course for chemistry specifically for engineers. I think it’s CHEM 107. I think you could get credit for that also…</p>
<p>yes there’s benefits like helping your gpa, but if my field of engineering is not chemistry intensive then why bother taking it again?</p>
