I'm currently taking AP Chem in my school after taking Honors Chemistry last year. Personally, I despise the subject and is probably one of my weakest subjects.

How should I go about studying for AP Chemistry on a daily basis? My teacher this year (same as last year) isn't giving as much homework as she did last year for Honors Chem.

Thanks.

Read the textbook and do as many practice problems as needed for you to get comfortable with them.

^ exactly right.

repitition is the key. The more problems you do, the better you'll be...because 1 problem can be written in a lot of different ways. So make sure you know how to do problems from every angle.

Read the text book the day of the lecture and do the homework seriously and also do some additional practice problems. I found reading my ap chem text (Brown and lemay) was very helpful. Study some every day, so the day before u don't have to study like 8 hours.

I got a C+ one marking period for Chem-H (was having a rough time with it), but managed to pull a 5 on the exam after getting mostly As in AP Chem. Do loads of practice problems to get the hang of the format and the general idea of how to attack the problems and you should be fine.

umm... I don't like reading chem text books. I had the Zumberg or whatever text, and i think it's too much trouble to read through it. I found it easier to just take notes in class, review them, practice and read barron's or arco AP book.

I have Zumdahl (7th ed. I think), and it's great because it has a seperate solutions guide, which explains how to do each problem, not just the answers. I'm doing okay so far, just doing all of the assigned problems and making sure I understand it all.
