AP Chemistry Placement Credit ?

Whats up guys, so I got placed into orgo 1 at the orientation and did very decently on it. I came in with a 3 on the AP Chem test and they required me to take the placement exam to see if i would get any credit. Their AP chem 3 policy goes as follows for LSA:

"3 hours for Chemistry 130 and 2 hours for Chemistry 125(1)/126(1) if placed into Chem 210, 211 by taking placement exam during orientation 5 Chem 210, 211"

"3 No credit if not placed into Chem 210,211 by taking placement exam during orientation 0 Chem 125/126 (if prehealth profession) + 130"

AP Guidelines | University of Michigan Office of Admissions

I sent in all my AP scores and was credited for all my qualifying AP scores, except Chem since they required a placement exam to grant me the appropriate credit. It has been a week since orientation and I haven't gotten any credit for AP chem.

I was wondering if anybody else had this same experience or any prior knowledge on this issue before I contact the school. I was thinking that it may not be granted until i attend in the Orgo class on first day.

Thanks for any responses guys!

I didn’t know they gave credit for a 3 on anything

Surprisingly, yea. For bio, chem, and gov credit is awarded by scoring at least a 3

Anyone ever experienced this before?
