My Chemistry teacher really recommends I take AP Chem next year, while my counselors want me to take AP Bio. I'm taking Advanced Math next year, I never took Bio yet, and I am good at math. I'm leaning AP Chem but I'm wondering what your decisions are on this issue I currently have. How hard are the two compared to each other? By the way I'm going to be a sophomore next year. I heard Bio was easier but more reading and work. Also, if I take AP Chem then AP Bio in 11th, would it be stupid to take AP Physics in 12th? Or is it too much work?

I took AP Chem last year and am taking AP Bio this year. From my experience, AP Chem has much more math involved and calculations, while AP Bio has a LOT more memorization. I love Chemistry more than Biology, but that’s because I love math also! :)

Are you taking honors chemistry or biology at some point? At my school, you can’t take AP Chem or AP Bio without first taking the honors class.

If you took Chemistry last year, it’d make sense to take the AP version while it’s still fresh in your memory.

Also, what exactly is Advanced Math? Precalc and trig? Calculus? Diff eq?

AP Chem is harder.
And for me it’s not because of the math (I enjoy math, so I want to believe I’m good at it even though that’s probably not the case), it’s because I’m bad at spatial reasoning…I have a hard time visualizing molecules in my head and it hurts me.
AP Bio is a lot of visualizing processes too, but the book we used had really good pictures. :)
